Thank you to John Dunthorne for his excellent talk on the 3rd December on the Apollo programme of the 60's and 70's. It was an excellent night bringing back memories of my time as a teenager watching the moon shots and eventual landings on he moon although planning for a wedding overtook the actual landings excitement.  Me and my dad watching on the tv in my bedroom as we didn't have a tv at the time and me being a tv engineer had the only one.

On Friday 8th of June members of NLA went on their Jollys to..... Scotter!

This was the location of our 1st ever summer BBQ event. A great location was found and BBQ was set up. Scopes were set up by a few of the members including 2 solar scopes. Trying to dodge the trees and clouds we did manage a short bit of solar viewing before the sun went down.

A great BBQ was then enjoyed thanks the Charles and the Team of Chefs he had to help him.

Then it was onto the bigger astro scopes to view the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn (My Fav).... Sorry can't forget the clouds.

Also in the evening we had a flypast and display courtesy of Charles and his Quadcopter.
